How are blind people able to plug in electrical appliances? I can't seem to plug into outlets without visual guidance.

Ah, sure! You just feel around and make sure the plug is going the right way - which side of the plug is bigger, or is it one of those three-pronged thingies? They're much easier! - and then find the outlet with the other hand. I'm so glad I don't need to do it all by feel now, but once upon a time, for sure. I had to plug in my hairdryer and the toaster every morning!

hmm...sounds like a two-handed operation. Might you get shocked while feeling around and plugging? What if the outlet is behind something or in a narrow spot and you have to reach with one arm to plug?
